Three orphan girls killed in fire

MANADO, North Sulawesi: Three orphan girls died in a fire
which razed an orphanage in Tompaso Village, Minahasa, in the
province, on Sunday evening.

Second Insp. Ismanto, chief of the Tompaso Police Station,
said the three were identified as Debby Moniaga, 10, Yuyun, 9,
and Merlin Tangkilisan, 8. They were believed to have been
trapped in the blaze while trying to get out of the building.

He said police were still investigating the cause of the fire.

The three victims were buried on Monday in the absence of
relatives. --Antara
