Three Nigerian Nationals Found in Jakarta Apartment, Two Dead

Three men, all Nigerian nationals, were found in an apartment unit in Cengkareng Timur, West Jakarta, on Monday (1/6) at approximately 9:00 PM.

Information about the incident also circulated on social media. In a video that went viral, two men were seen lying motionless on a bed, while the other man was lying on the floor in an unconscious state.

“It is true that on Monday, June 1, 2026, at around 9:00 PM, three foreign nationals were found in Apartment City Park Tower F, 3rd floor, Cengkareng Timur, West Jakarta,” said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, to reporters on Thursday (4/6).

Budi said that of the three people, two were found dead. They were identified by the initials CD (27) and II (34).

“They were pronounced dead, and we are still waiting for the results of the cause of death,” said Budi.

The other person, OSO (39), was found unconscious and is currently being treated at Budha Tzu Chi Hospital.

Budi said that from the initial examination, no signs of violence were found on the bodies of the two victims. However, he said that they are still conducting an investigation to uncover the cause.

“The investigation is still ongoing by the West Jakarta Metropolitan Police to determine the cause of the incident,” he said.
