Three New Parks Opened in Tangsel, Operating Hours Limited Until 10:00 PM WIB

TANGERANG SELATAN, KOMPAS.com - Three new parks in Tangerang Selatan City (Tangsel) have been opened and can now be used by the public. However, the operating hours for these three parks are limited until 10:00 PM WIB. Tangsel Deputy Mayor Pilar Saga Ichsan stated that the three parks that have been built are Taman Ciputat Timur, Taman Pondok Ranji, and Taman Cinere Mas. “In terms of construction, I think it’s minor. I mean, even if there are shortcomings, minor repairs like adding fences or other facilities,” said Pilar after inspecting the location of Taman Cinere Mas, Pisangan, Tangsel, on Wednesday (29/4/2026). For example, at Taman Pondok Ranji, the area that was previously neglected has now been transformed into a public open space equipped with a children’s playground. He said that the three parks were built to function as spaces for community activities without charge, as well as alternative recreational spots amid the limited open spaces in Tangsel. However, the operating hours for the three parks are very limited, only until 10:00 PM WIB. “Tangsel, with its limited regional budget, cannot operate 24 hours. So I request that it only be open until 10:00 PM for now,” he said. In addition, several facilities in the parks will still be added gradually, such as the provision of bathing and public toilet amenities.
