Three New District Attorneys Officially Installed in Bali, Urged to Maintain Integrity and Responsiveness

Three new District Attorneys (Kajari) have officially taken up their posts in Bali. They are Dr. Kusufi Esti Ridliani as the Kajari of Karangasem, I Wayan Sumertayasa as the Kajari of Badung, and Muhammad Ruslan as the Kajari of Jembrana.

The inauguration and swearing-in ceremony was held at the Sasana Dharma Adhyaksa Hall of the Bali High Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday (13/8/2026). The High Prosecutor of Bali, Setiawan Budi Cahyono, urged the newly installed officials to quickly adapt to their working environment and the legal issues in their respective regions.

"The most important thing is to maintain integrity in carrying out duties and authority," Setiawan stressed.

According to him, the change of officials is not merely a transfer of positions. There is work that must be immediately continued. He noted that legal issues in the community require a quick response.

Therefore, the new officials are asked not to take too long to understand the situation of the work units they now lead. Coordination, both internally and with related parties, is also an important part of ensuring that law enforcement runs smoothly.

On this occasion, appreciation was also conveyed to the previous officials for their performance and dedication during their tenure in Bali. The rotation is an early test for the new Kajari to prove that the change in leadership is not just a change of names in the organizational structure, but results in faster, firmer, and integrity-driven work.
