Three More Rafale Fighter Jets to Arrive in Indonesia in Mid-2026
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian Ministry of Defence has revealed that three more Rafale fighter jets will arrive in Indonesia in mid-2026.
The Head of the Defence Information Bureau of the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, stated that these three fighter jets are part of the second batch of the total 42 Rafale jets purchased by Indonesia.
“We expect the next batch to arrive possibly in the middle of the year,” said Rico in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (25/2/2026).
According to the plan, there will be a welcoming ceremony attended by President Prabowo Subianto to welcome the arrival of the three aircraft.
However, Rico has not yet been able to confirm when the event will take place.
“We will wait for the date,” he said.
The first three units arrived in Indonesia on 23 January 2026 and are stationed at the Roesmin Nurjadin Air Base, Pekanbaru.
