The Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police is continuing to operate mobile driving licence renewal services in the Jakarta area to help residents extend the validity of their legal driving permits on Sunday (5/7).

The Jakarta Metro Police, via its X account @tmcpoldametro, announced that these mobile licence booths are open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Western Indonesian Time at only three locations.

The locations are:

East Jakarta: Jalan Raden Mas Intan, next to McDonald’s, Duren Sawit.

West Jakarta: Jalan Panjang, next to Indomaret, Kebon Jeruk.

Central Jakarta: Istora Senayan, Jalan Pintu Satu Senayan, Gelora, Tanah Abang (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Western Indonesian Time).

Prospective applicants must prepare and complete the required documents and administrative fees before visiting the licence renewal locations.

The required documents include a photocopy of a valid national identity card, the original and still-valid old driving licence, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test via the Simpel Pol application.

This mobile driving licence service can only renew licences that are still valid for specific categories, namely SIM A and SIM C.

For licences that have expired, even by a single day, the licence holder must apply for a new driving licence at a location designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation Number 76 of 2020 on Types and Tariffs for Non-Tax State Revenue applicable to the Indonesian National Police, the cost is Rp80,000 for a SIM A renewal and Rp75,000 for a SIM C renewal.

In addition to these fees, applicants must also pay other additional costs, including for the psychological test and the health test fee via the Simpel Pol application.
