Three LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai Stations Not Yet Operational, Here is Why

A number of new stations on the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route have not yet been opened to the general public. PT Jakarta Propertino (Jakpro) stated that the opening of these stations is being conducted in stages, taking into account aspects of passenger safety and comfort.

Jakpro Vice President of Corporate Secretary, Muhamad Alfin Rinaldyansyah, noted that the phased opening of stations is part of the operational stages for the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route.

“The initial opening of these two stations is part of the operational stages for the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route, which has undergone technical studies, considering aspects of passenger safety and comfort,” Alfin said when confirmed on Friday (18/09/2026).

This statement was made in response to information regarding several new stations that are not yet operational, including Pramuka, Matraman, and Proklamasi stations. According to Alfin, during this initial operational phase, the company is still monitoring public enthusiasm and response.

This monitoring serves as part of an evaluation to strengthen Jakarta LRT services. “At this early stage, we are also continuously monitoring public enthusiasm and response as part of our service enhancement,” he added.

Alfin did not specify a precise timeframe for when these three stations will be opened to the public. He stated that information regarding the station opening schedule will be announced at a later date.

“The opening is indeed being carried out gradually to ensure passenger comfort. Our primary focus right now is to continue monitoring the enthusiasm of users and responding with service improvements,” he explained.

“I will provide information on the timing shortly,” Alfin continued.

Jakpro also requested public support throughout the operational stages of the Jakarta LRT Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route. “We ask for the public’s support so that we can continue to provide Jakarta LRT services that are safe, comfortable, and the best for the community,” he concluded.
