Three Kopassus Soldiers Face Sentencing in Bank Branch Manager Murder Case Today
The trial concerning the murder of M. Ilham Pradipta, a bank branch manager in Jakarta, has reached the sentencing stage today. The proceedings at Military Court II-08 Jakarta involve three Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers from the Kopassus unit as defendants.
The three soldiers are identified as Serka Mochamad Nasir (Defendant 1), Kopda Feri Herianto (Defendant 2), and Serka Frengky Yaru (Defendant 3).
According to the SIPP (Integrated Case Tracking System) schedule, the sentencing hearing by the military prosecutor began at 10:00 WIB in the Garuda (Main) courtroom on Monday. The three soldiers are accused of the premeditated murder of the bank manager, with each playing a specific role in the crime.
Military Prosecutor Major Chk Wasinton Marpaung stated at Military Court II-08 Jakarta that the primary charge is Article 340 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code. Subsidiary charges include Article 338, Article 351 paragraph (3), or Article 333 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code.
Specifically for defendant Serka Mochamad Nasir, the prosecutor has included an additional charge regarding the act of concealing or destroying the victim’s body.
