Three killed in road collision

SEMARANG: Three people were killed and 15 others injured when two minibuses collided head on along the Kalimas highway in Mijen on Wednesday.

Witnesses said that the driver of one of the minibuses, Kristanto, apparently lost control of the steering wheel, causing his vehicle to veer to the right and into the path of the approaching minibus.

Kristanto had just returned from visiting his ailing father at a hospital.

The injured passengers have been admitted to the Kariadi and Roemani hospitals. (har/emb)
