Three Killed in Head-on Motorcycle Collision in Wonogiri

A fatal traffic accident occurred on the Wuryantoro-Eromoko highway, specifically in Sumberejo Village, Wuryantoro District, Wonogiri Regency, resulting in three deaths. According to Wonogiri Police Public Relations Head AKP Anom Prabowo, the collision took place around 4:30 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. The crash involved a Yamaha Vixion ridden by PS (32), a Wonogiri resident, and a Yamaha Aerox ridden by AF (31), a resident of Sukoharjo. The Aerox, which was also carrying two passengers identified as ES (8) and LS (32), was travelling from Eromoko towards Wuryantoro, while the Vixion was coming from the opposite direction. “It is suspected that the Yamaha Vixion rider veered too far to the right at high speed. Because the distance between the two vehicles was already too close, a collision could not be avoided, resulting in a severe impact to the front of both vehicles,” Anom stated in a press release. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage. Tragically, three people were pronounced dead and one person suffered serious injuries. “As a result of the incident, the Yamaha Vixion rider, PS, a resident of Manyaran District, sustained severe head injuries and died en route to Wonogiri Regional General Hospital,” he explained.
