Three Killed in Car-Train Collision at Manual Railway Crossing in Grobogan
A Sigra car was hit by the Pandalungan train at a manual railway crossing in Medani village, Tegowanu sub-district, Grobogan regency. A total of three people died in the accident. As reported by detikJateng, the accident occurred on Tuesday (24 February 2026). All three victims of the accident were male. “Based on the latest information, all the victims of the train accident were male, with a total of three people. This was determined because they were not found at the scene during the initial evacuation,” said the Acting Head of Public Relations at the Grobogan Police, Ipda Arif Suryanto, to detikJateng on Wednesday (25 February 2026). Arif said the victims were found by officers at around 07:30 WIB. Their presence was discovered after the family reported that the car contained three people. “They were found this morning at around 07:30 WIB. So, the family came to the police station, and it turned out that they had all travelled together, so we searched again,” Arif said. The three victims were identified as passengers in the car, named Muhammad Rifqi Rahardian (41). He was from RT 4 RW 3, Bulungan village, Pakis Aji sub-district, Jepara regency. There were also two residents from Jepara regency. “The deceased victims are the driver, Endri Prasetiyo (41), from Desa Bantrung RT 3 RW 1, Batealit sub-district, Jepara regency, and the passenger, Hany Puji Sulistyo (34), from Perum Pondok Randu Gede RT 4 RW 3, Pengkol village, Jepara sub-district, Jepara regency,” Arif concluded. Arif revealed that all three victims were related. They were going on a pilgrimage and were following directions from the Google Maps application. “They are family, they are still relatives.
