Three Key Points in the Mysterious Death of Sutrimo in South Jakarta
A man was found dead in front of a beauty clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The victim has been identified as Sutrimo.
Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto explained that the victim was found unconscious on Thursday (23/7). The victim was discovered in front of a beauty clinic in Kebayoran Baru. According to circulating information, the victim was found with foam coming from his mouth.
Afterwards, the victim was taken by ambulance to Muhammadiyah Taman Puring Hospital and was pronounced dead. “The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police expresses its condolences on the passing of Mr Sutrimo. May the deceased rest in peace and may the family left behind be given strength and fortitude,” Budi said on Sunday (26/7/2026).
The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, through the General Criminal Investigation Directorate together with the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, are currently conducting an investigation. Police are clarifying information with the family, the ambulance driver, hospital staff, and other parties with knowledge of the incident. Police are also investigating the history of the ambulance booking and the initial location where the victim was found. “The investigation is being carried out professionally, carefully, and in accordance with applicable regulations to obtain the full facts. Because the process is still ongoing, we cannot yet conclude the cause of the deceased’s death,” Budi explained.
Police have processed the crime scene where Sutrimo was found. Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the location and gathering statements from witnesses who saw the victim being discovered. “We processed the crime scene earlier. Once we received the information, after checking the crime scene, we then tried to find information around the crime scene, witnesses, and CCTV,” said South Jakarta Metropolitan Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Iskandarsyah when contacted.
Based on observations at the location on Sunday (26/7) at 20:30 Western Indonesia Time, police tape was seen already installed. From outside the fence, the interior of the clinic appeared to be covered with dark curtains. The lights outside the clinic were on, while those inside were off. No human activity was visible at the location.
The victim is reportedly the Head of Household for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes Febrie Adriansyah. Police are still investigating the background of the victim. “It is still being investigated,” Budi said.
