Three Karangasem Regency Officials Promoted, Two Transferred

Three officials within the Karangasem Regency Government have received promotions, while two others have been given new assignments in a reshuffle by Bupati I Gusti Putu Parwata. The officials were inaugurated by Gus Par at the Wantilan of the Bupati’s office on Monday (29/6/2026). Alongside the high-ranking pratama positions, the Bupati also appointed supervisory and functional officials. Gus Par stated that following the inauguration, there are no longer any vacant head of regional apparatus positions. He expressed hope that they would adapt quickly and consistently innovate to improve public services. The Bupati explained that the mutation and rotation of positions are part of an organisational refresh to build governance oriented towards public service, rather than merely carrying out administrative functions. He stressed that policies and programmes must favour the community by providing services that are easy, affordable, fast, humane, inclusive, and genuinely beneficial. The three promoted officials, Gus Par emphasised, underwent an open selection process as a form of implementing the merit system in civil service management. The process involved a professional and independent selection committee and was monitored by the Ombudsman. Gus Par also requested that the officials build democratic and humane leadership to create a harmonious, productive, and dedicated work environment. He noted that collaboration with all stakeholders is key to improving government performance. He further instructed the newly appointed officials to not only develop innovations but also to utilise technology and digitalisation to generate new, creative, and solution-oriented ideas, setting an example in discipline and achieving more optimal performance. The Bupati also reminded all state civil apparatus not to neglect administrative and financial management aspects. He asked each regional apparatus to properly prepare standard operating procedures for administration as a preventive measure to avoid legal issues in the future.
