Three investors to develop support facilities at IKN for Rp1.27 trillion
Three investors are developing support facilities at Indonesia’s New Capital City (Nusantara/IKN) after signing cooperation agreements with the IKN Authority for a combined investment valued at Rp1.27 trillion.
“The new cooperation agreements have been signed together by PT Hauptstadt Indonesia Borneo, PT Starbright International Investment and PT Oceans Resto Nusantara with an investment value of Rp1.27 trillion,” said Basuki Hadimuljono, Head of the IKN Authority, in Nusantara on Tuesday.
The cooperation agreements between the three companies encompass the development of residential units and various support facilities for area activities, including apartments, office buildings, restaurants, cafeterias, and sports centres.
Basuki expressed appreciation for business operators’ continued confidence and commitment to investing and contributing to building an urban ecosystem at IKN. He noted that IKN still requires hotel facilities, logistics services, and restaurants.
“Especially with SMA Taruna Nusantara targeted to operate this year, certainly many other facilities will be needed. The judicial and legislative areas are also beginning to be developed. So this will be an addition to our urban ecosystem that will expand through to 2028,” he said.
The IKN Authority continues to provide support for ease of doing business and expedited licensing processes for investors operating in the Nusantara region. Basuki stated that the current moment represents an opportune time for business operators to explore various business opportunities at IKN and that his authority will support all investment needs, including swift building permit procedures.
PT Starbright International Investment, a company affiliated with Zhongda Jiancheng Engineering Management Group Co, Ltd, will develop a suite apartment complex, restaurant, retail space, and office areas scheduled to begin construction in the second quarter of 2027.
PT Hauptstadt Indonesia Borneo will build an aircraft-themed café with lounge and mini sports concepts, planned to commence construction in the third quarter of 2026.
PT Oceans Resto Nusantara, a leading seafood restaurant operator from Balikpapan, will begin planning construction of a restaurant in the second quarter of 2026.
