Three Indonesian Navy Personnel from ILO Receive Two Awards from Philippine Military
Three Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) personnel received the honorary service medals The Meritorious Achievement Medal and The Gawad Sa Kaunlaran from the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The three personnel who received the awards are part of the Indonesian Liaison Officer (ILO) contingent of the TNI.
According to the tnial.mil.id website, the awards were received during an official ceremony at the Eastmincom headquarters in Panacan, Davao City, Philippines, on Tuesday (14/4/2026). The presentation was given by the Commander of Eastmincom, as Chairman of the Philippine Border Committee (PHBC), represented by the Chief of Staff of the Eastmincom Joint Command, Colonel Jorry L Bachlor Minsa (INF) AFP.
The three TNI AL personnel are Lieutenant Captain (P) Bayu Aji Kurniawan, Lieutenant Captain (E) Satya Jala Tama, and Chief Petty Officer Mus Asep Setyawan. They were awarded the honorary medal The Gawad Sa Kaunlaran based on General Orders Number 75 dated 14 April 2026.
The awards serve as a form of appreciation for the dedication and success of the ILO TNI personnel in carrying out their duties, particularly in strengthening cooperation with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and building synergy with civilian communities.
“This success is considered to contribute significantly to maintaining security stability and strengthening bilateral relations in the Indonesia-Philippines border area,” stated the TNI AL, as viewed on Thursday (16/4).
