Three Former Pertamina Executives Sentenced to 9-10 Years in Prison in Oil Corruption Case
Three former executives of Pertamina, Riva Siahaan (RS), Maya Kusmaya (MK), and Edward Corne (EC), have been sentenced to between 9 and 10 years in prison in a corruption case related to oil. Riva Siahaan and Maya Kusmaya were sentenced to 9 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion each. Edward Corne received a 10-year prison sentence and a fine of IDR 1 billion.
The sentencing took place at the Corruption Court (Tipikor) of the Central Jakarta District Court (PN Jakpus) on Thursday, February 26, 2026. The trial began around 4:00 PM local time.
The judge stated that the three defendants were proven guilty of committing corruption together, as stated in the primary indictment.
“Sentencing the defendant, Riva Siahaan, to 9 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion, which must be paid within one month and can be extended for a maximum of one month after the verdict takes effect,” said the judge during the sentencing hearing at the Corruption Court of the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday (February 26, 2026).
“Sentencing the defendant, Edward Corne, to 10 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion, which must be paid within one month and can be extended for a maximum of one month after the verdict takes effect,” he added.

- Defendant: Riva Siahaan
Status: Proven guilty of committing corruption together (Primary Indictment).
Prison Sentence: 9 years.
Fine: IDR 1 billion.
Fine Provisions:
Must be paid within 1 month (can be extended for a maximum of 1 month) after the verdict.
If not paid, assets will be seized and auctioned.
If assets are insufficient, it will be replaced with a prison sentence of 190 days.
Time Served: Will be deducted from the total sentence.
Detention Status: Remains in custody.
- Defendant: Maya Kusuma
Status: Proven guilty of committing corruption together (Primary Indictment).
Prison Sentence: 9 years.
Fine: IDR 1 billion.
Fine Provisions:
- Same as defendant Riva (Asset seizure or 190-day imprisonment).
Time Served: Will be deducted from the total sentence.
Detention Status: Remains in custody.
- Defendant: Edward Corne
Status: Proven guilty of committing corruption together (Primary Indictment).
Prison Sentence: 10 years (1 year longer than Riva and Maya).
Fine: IDR 1 billion.
Fine Provisions:
- Same as other defendants (Asset seizure or 190-day imprisonment).
Time Served: Will be deducted from the total sentence.
