Three former customs officials to face first trial on Friday
The panel of judges has scheduled the first trial, with the reading of the indictments, for 3 July 2026. The three defendants are former Director of Enforcement and Investigation at Customs and Excise Rizal, former Head of the Intelligence Sub-Directorate Sisprian Subiaksono, and former Head of Customs Intelligence Section I Orlando Hamonangan. The trial will take place at the Jakarta Corruption Court. The Central Jakarta District Court has appointed Brely Yuniar Dien Wardi Haskori as the presiding judge, with Edward Agus and Nofalinda Arianti as member judges. The case concerns alleged bribery and gratification related to the import of counterfeit or imitation branded goods. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) previously named six suspects in the case, including three from the private sector: Blueray Cargo owner John Field, Blueray Cargo Documentation Team Head Andri, and Blueray Cargo Operational Manager Dedy Kurniawan. A seventh suspect, Budiman Bayu Prasojo, who served as Head of the Excise Intelligence Section, was named later. The indictment alleges that the three defendants, along with another individual named Djaka Budi Utama, attended a meeting with several cargo entrepreneurs in Jakarta in July 2025. During a separate trial on 20 May 2026, prosecutors stated that Djaka is suspected of receiving 213,600 Singapore dollars in bribes. In a subsequent hearing on 12 June 2026, John Field admitted to giving money totalling Rp21 billion to Djaka Budi Utama.
