The three female foreign nationals are from Russia, initialled ED and AR, and one Nigerian national initialled EJN.

The three women, aged 21-27 years, are currently being brought to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further questioning regarding the illegal practice.

They hold visitor residence permits. EJN is known to have entered Indonesia via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on 21 March 2026, and ED entered via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on 10 March 2026.

Meanwhile, AR, also from Russia, holds a visitor residence permit and is known to have entered Indonesia on 22 April 2026 and was arrested at one of the hotels in the Renon area, Denpasar.

“AR was secured in a hotel room with a man after her identity was confirmed through the immigration data system,” he added.

Haryo emphasised to foreign nationals to comply with Indonesian laws and provide positive impacts to the destination tourism areas.

“Although Indonesia provides immigration service conveniences to foreign nationals, it does not mean they can break the law,” he added.
