Three Foreign Nationals Arrested in Bali After Producing Pornographic Content Using Ride-Hailing Jacket
Police have arrested three foreign nationals following the production of pornographic video in Bali. The three detainees include the ride-hailing driver actor and the mastermind behind the indecent video production.
“In this case, we have identified three perpetrators. This act was committed with a modus operandi and motive to profit from pornographic video and content,” said Badung Police Chief AKBP Joseph Edward Purba during a press conference at his office, as quoted by detikBali on Tuesday (17 March 2026).
The three suspects identified are MMZL (a woman from France), NBS (a man from Italy), and ERB (a man from France). MMZL and NBS were the performers in the video, whilst ERB served as manager and uploader of content to adult platforms.
Police revealed that the use of ride-hailing driver attributes was purely to create sensation so their content would spread widely. Suspect NBS wore a jacket purchased from a shop for 300,000 rupiah to make the public believe he was an actual ride-hailing driver.
“So to attract attention or make it go viral, he used a ride-hailing jacket. So it was a foreign national from Italy wearing it, not a local,” explained Joseph.
The arrest began when the cyber team conducted profiling of a viral video suspected to have been produced within Badung Police jurisdiction on Friday (13 March 2026). Police then questioned an actual ride-hailing driver whose services were frequently used by suspect MMZL for transportation whilst in Bali.
After obtaining the perpetrators’ identities, police coordinated with immigration authorities and detected the whereabouts of MMZL and NBS, who were attempting to flee abroad. Both were secured at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport without resistance, followed by the arrest of the manager suspect ERB at Canggu, North Kuta, Badung, on Monday (16 March).
“Receiving information that two suspects were about to board a flight leaving Bali Province. Subsequently, the suspects were secured and brought to Badung Police Headquarters for further processing,” explained Joseph.
Suspects MMZL and NBS were arrested at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport whilst attempting to flee to Thailand. Both were suspected of attempting to abscond.
“Their plan was to depart for Thailand, but we arrested them at the airport. There are indications they intended to flee, which is likely,” said Head of Airport Immigration Inspection Unit (TPI) Ngurah Rai, Gde Oki Rizky Aryadhika Heris.
Investigation revealed that the video was recorded at a villa in Pererenan Village, Mengwi District, Badung, on Sunday (8 March 2026) at approximately 14:40 Western Indonesia Time.
