Three Fallen TNI Soldiers in Lebanon Promoted Posthumously, Families Receive IDR 1.8 Billion Compensation

Three TNI soldiers fell during the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping mission. TNI Commander General Agus Subianto has assured that the rights of the three soldiers will be fulfilled. The three fallen soldiers are Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Staff Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ikhwan, and Private First Class Farizal Rhomadhon. The families of the three soldiers will receive compensation. The TNI Commander also stated that the three soldiers will receive promotions and medals for their dedication in the UNIFIL peacekeeping assignment in Lebanon. “In addition to cash compensation, the three fallen soldiers will also receive Extraordinary Promotion for Non-War Military Operations Posthumously (KPLB OMSPA) and the ‘Dag Hammarskjold’ Medal award,” said Agus in a statement from the TNI Information Centre, Wednesday (1/4/2026). The compensation, which is the right of the three soldiers, consists of insurance savings cash value, special death risk compensation, scholarships for two children, UN death compensation, watzah funds, TWP AD, personal accident compensation, and fallen soldier compensation from banking institutions. The cash compensation to be received by the three soldiers’ families: - Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar amounting to IDR 1,894,688,236 - Staff Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ikhwan amounting to IDR 1,846,309,049, and - Private First Class Farizal Rhomadhon amounting to IDR 1,854,075,205 In addition to cash compensation, the families of the three soldiers will be given continued salaries for 12 months (consisting of basic salary, meal allowance (ULP), and position allowance), as well as widow’s pension after the continued salary payments are completed. It is known that one TNI soldier also died on Sunday (29/3). The peacekeeping contingent named Private First Class Farizal Rhomadhon died after a projectile exploded near one of the group’s positions near Adchit al-Qusayr village in southern Lebanon. On Monday (30/03), the UN confirmed again that two TNI soldiers died after an explosion hit the UNIFIL logistics convoy. Meanwhile, two others were injured. The incident, the UN continued, occurred near Bani Hayyan in southern Lebanon. President Prabowo Subianto conveyed deep condolences over the falling of the three TNI soldiers while carrying out duties in the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon. Prabowo expressed condolences to the soldiers’ families and gave respect for their service and sacrifice in carrying out state duties. “Innalillahi waina ilaihi rajiun, I share my condolences over the falling of Captain Inf. Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Staff Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Private First Class Farizal Rhomadon while carrying out the peacekeeping mission in the Middle East,” said Prabowo via Instastory on the official Instagram account @prabowo, Tuesday (31/3). Prabowo emphasised that the soldiers’ service is a form of dedication and bravery in maintaining world peace while bringing honour to Indonesia on the international stage.
