Three districts prone to conflict
YOGYAKARTA: Three districts in Bantul regency are prone to
conflict between supporters of candidates contesting the upcoming
election of regional heads, a police officer said on Wednesday.
Bantul Police deputy chief Comr. Hudid Wahyudi MM said the
three districts were Pleret, Sewon and Banguntapan.
He added that 107 out of 1,498 voting booths in the regency
would be prone to conflict.
"Prone to conflict means there might be protests at the voting
booths during vote counting," he said, adding that a police
officer and two security men from the community would be assigned
to each voting booth during the elections, scheduled for June 26.
