Three Directors of Merdeka Gold Resource Resign, Management to Hold GMS Immediately
Management of PT Merdeka Gold Resource Tbk (EMAS) has announced that three of the company’s directors have submitted their resignations from their positions. The company received the resignation letters from these three leaders on 18 March 2026.
Based on information from the disclosure, the three directors who resigned include Albert Saputro, David Thomas Fowler, and Adi Adriansyah Sjoekri. EMAS management stated that the announcement of the executives’ departure is a mandatory requirement for any changes in the board of directors within the stipulated timeframe.
“In accordance with the provisions of Articles 8 and 9 of OJK Regulation No. 33/POJK.04/2014 on the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of Issuers or Public Companies, the Company is obliged to make information disclosures to the public and submit reports to the OJK no later than two working days after receiving the resignation request from a Board of Directors member,” wrote the Company Management in its official statement, quoted on Thursday, 26 March 2026.
Furthermore, the Company will hold a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) to seek approval. This is in accordance with the Company’s Articles of Association and applicable laws and regulations.
“The resignation requests from these three Board of Directors members will be decided at the General Meeting of Shareholders and will take effect after obtaining approval,” continued the Company Management.
In a separate official statement, the Company Management announced that the GMS will be held on Wednesday, 22 April 2026 at 14:00 WIB. Previously, the shareholders’ meeting was scheduled for Monday, 13 April 2026 at 14:00 WIB.
