Three die in fire tragedy

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Togar Manik, 35, his wife A. Munthe and
their eight-year-old son Riau Manik were killed in a fire that
razed their house in Urung Kompas, Labuhan Batu, 450 kilometers
south of the city early on Friday.

The house was reportedly burned to the ground by burglars who
found no valuables in it.

Lestari, the couple's nine-year-old daughter, who escaped the
blaze, told the local police that she saw somebody light a fire
on the house's roof.

Local police are still investigating the case. --Antara
