Three Demonstration Points in Jakarta Today, Avoid Potential Traffic Jams on the Following Routes

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Three demonstrations will be held in the Central Jakarta area today, Thursday (5 March 2026). The Public Relations Head of the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, said the first demonstration will take place on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Gambir. ‘In the morning there is a demonstration from Aksi Kamisan Jaringan Solidaritas Korban untuk Keadilan (JSKK),’ he said in a written statement. The third demonstration will be held in front of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office, Kebon Sirih, Menteng, by students from Universitas Indraprasta PGRI. According to Erlyn, 541 police personnel from combined units have been deployed to secure the demonstrations on Thursday. Traffic management at the demonstration points will be conducted on a situational basis, taking into account the number of people on the ground. ‘For ordinary residents, seek alternative routes during the demonstrations,’ he said.
