Three Defendants in Pertamina Corruption Case Await Verdict at the Central Jakarta District Court

Three defendants in the alleged corruption case involving the management of crude oil and refinery products at PT Pertamina (Persero), specifically PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) and PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI), attended their sentencing hearing at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday (February 26th).

The three are Yoki Firnandi, Director of PT Pertamina International Shipping; Agus Purwono, VP of Feedstock Management at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional; and Sani Dinar Saifuddin, Director of Feedstock and Product Optimization at PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional.

Upon arrival at the Main Prof. Dr. H. Muhammad Hatta Ali courtroom at the Central Jakarta District Court, the three appeared downcast and tearful.

A group of supporters greeted them, offering moral support. They wore white shirts and black trousers and held bouquets of flowers, which were given to them outside the courtroom.

Inside the courtroom, the three were seen supporting each other. Yoki patted Agus Purwono on the thigh in a gesture of support, which was reciprocated.

Before the hearing began, Agus Purwono expressed his hope that the panel of judges would deliver a fair verdict.

“A fair verdict, hopefully,” said Yoki.

This sentencing hearing will determine the fate of the three defendants in this case, which has attracted significant public attention. (Bob/P-3)
