PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) recorded that 554,407 passengers used long-distance and local train services on the islands of Java and Sumatra during the first three days of the Ascension of Jesus Christ long weekend.

  8. Solo Balapan: 26,543 passengers

  9. Surabaya Pasar Turi: 25,690 passengers

  10. Malang: 24,988 passengers

Anne said that the high volume of travel to Yogyakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Purwokerto, and Malang shows the strong appeal of these cities during the long holiday.

“Some passengers use the long weekend to enjoy cultural and culinary tourism, while others travel for family, education, and social activities in various regions,” she said.

KAI advises passengers to arrive earlier at the station, pay attention to the departure schedule, and ensure that tickets and travel documents are well prepared. Passengers can also use the Access by KAI application to monitor schedules, ticket availability, and various service information in real time.

“Public enthusiasm during the long weekend is still quite high, and travel is still ongoing until the end of the holiday period.
