Three Customs Officials Named as Corruption Suspects Handed Over to Prosecutors, Trial Imminent

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has handed over the case files of three Directorate General of Customs and Excise officials named as suspects in an importation corruption case to the public prosecutor, meaning they will soon face trial. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the three suspects transferred to the prosecution stage are: 1. Rizal (RZL), Director of Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (P2 DJBC) for the 2024 to January 2026 period; 2. Sispri Subiaksono (SIS), Head of the Intelligence Sub-Directorate for Enforcement and Investigation at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasubdit Intel P2 DJBC); 3. Orlando Hamonangan Sianipar (ORL), Head of the Intelligence Section at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kasi Intel DJBC). “Regarding the Customs case for suspect Rizal and his associates, the receiving side has completed stage two. This means the investigation is considered complete and is now in the prosecution stage. Stage two was conducted on 4 June,” KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters at the KPK building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday (15/6/2026). Budi said that with the transfer of these three suspects, one suspect remains under investigation in this case, namely Budiman Bayu Prasojo (BBP), Head of the Customs Intelligence Section at P2 DJBC. “So in this Customs case, the investigation is still ongoing for suspect BBP,” he added. “Meanwhile, for the suspect from the giver side, PT BR, the trial is already underway,” he concluded. Separately, three private sector defendants in the importation bribery case at Customs have been examined. Prosecutors are scheduled to read out the sentencing demands for the defendants at a hearing on 22 June 2026. The three defendants are John Field, head of Blueray Cargo; Deddy Kurniawan Sukolo, Operational Manager of Blueray Cargo; and Andri, head of the documents team at Blueray Cargo. “The next hearing is Monday, 22 June 2026, at 10.00 WIB, with the agenda being the submission or reading of the sentencing demand by the public prosecutor,” said presiding judge Brelly Yuniar Dien Wardi Haskori at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Friday (12/6). In this case, KPK prosecutors charged the three Blueray Cargo executives in a bribery case related to the importation of goods at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. KPK prosecutors stated that the three gave money totalling Rp 61.3 billion in Singapore dollar currency. In addition to money, according to the prosecutors, they were also charged with providing various facilities and luxury goods worth Rp 1.8 billion.
