Three Corporations Sentenced to Pay Rp 364.2 Billion in TaniHub Corruption Case
Three defendant corporations in the alleged corruption case involving investments from PT BVI and PT MDI Ventures into the startup TaniHub have been sentenced to pay a fine of Rp 1 billion each. The judges also ordered the three entities to pay a total restitution of Rp 364,221,571,600 (approximately Rp 364.2 billion).
The sentencing hearing was held at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Thursday (10/09/2026). The three corporations involved are PT Tani Group Indonesia (PT TGI), PT Tani Hub Indonesia (PT THI), and PT Tani Supply Indonesia (PT TSI).
“Declaring that the corporate defendants have been proven legally and convincingly guilty of committing corruption offences jointly, as stated in the primary indictment of the public prosecutor,” stated the chairman of the panel of judges, Suwandi, while reading the verdict.
The complete sentences for the three corporations are as follows:
PT Tani Group Indonesia (PT T0GI): a fine of Rp 1 billion and restitution amounting to Rp 23,094,000,000 (23.094 billion).
PT Tani Hub Indonesia (PT THI): a fine of Rp 1 billion and restitution amounting to Rp 263,906,571,600 (263.9 billion).
PT Tani Supply Indonesia (PT TSI): a fine of Rp 1 billion and restitution amounting to Rp 77,221,000,000 (77.2 billion).
The judge’s verdict is closely aligned with the prosecutors’ demands, which were presented during the trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Monday (06/07) as follows:
PT Tani Group Indonesia (PT TGI): a fine of Rp 1 billion and restitution amounting to Rp 23,094,600,000 (23.094 billion).
PT Tani Hub Indonesia (PT THI): a fine of Rp 1 billion and restitution amounting to Rp 261,520,682,144 (261.5 billion).
PT Tani Supply Indonesia (PT TSI): a fine of Rp 1 billion and restitution amounting to Rp 75,288,453,164 (75.2 billion).
