Three Chinese nationals netted

SORONG: Immigration officers arrested three Chinese citizens for selling electronic goods directly from door to door on Jl. Misool, Kampung Baru, Sorong regency, Papua, on Saturday.

Sorong immigration office head Achmad Widodo said the three foreigners had violated their immigration permits by engaging in business activities.

"We will soon deport the men," Achmad said.

He said the men, identified as Huang Mei Tong, 49, Yang Jia Jun, 29, and Huang He Zhong, 39, who arrived here on Dec. 14 via Jakarta, were found selling a variety of electronic goods and wristwatches.

The raid against the three foreigners attracted local attention when one of the men tried to escape before immigration officers chased and apprehended him. -- JP
