Three Bogor City Civil Servants Suspected of Pawning Subordinates' Appointment Letters, Facing Heavy Sanctions
Bogor - The Bogor City Inspectorate has revealed allegations of disciplinary violations by three civil servants (ASN) suspected of pawning their subordinates’ official appointment letters (SK) to a bank in connection with debt obligations. Special Assistant Inspector (Irbansus) of the Bogor City Inspectorate, Jimmy Hutapea, stated that the three suspects have been examined regarding the alleged violations. “Three suspects are alleged to have committed civil servant disciplinary violations related to debt and credit,” said Jimmy when contacted by Kompas.com on Thursday (23/4/2026). “They have been examined; all three suspects are civil servants,” he clarified. For information, one of the three suspects is the Head of the Finance Sub-section of the Bogor City Satpol PP with initials IJ. He is suspected of using a modus operandi by enticing his subordinates to hand over their SK under the pretext of office needs. The suspect also promised that the instalments would not last long. However, the instalment payments are said to have been delayed. As a result, the victims whose SKs were pawned reported the incident to the Bogor City Human Resources and Human Resource Development Agency (BKPSDM). Meanwhile, the Bogor City BKPSDM stated that it is still completing the reports requested by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) to obtain Technical Considerations (Pertek) for imposing sanctions.
