Three Banks on HSC List: OJK Chief Reveals Impact on Customers
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has spoken about three banking issuers that hold High Shareholding Concentration (HSC) status. OJK’s Chief Executive of Banking Supervision, Diam Ediana Rae, stated that this status reflects relatively concentrated share ownership.
“Shares with HSC status generally have the potential for higher price volatility compared to shares with a more dispersed ownership structure,” Dian said in a statement on Friday (14/8/2026).
He mentioned that the HSC category can be one of the considerations for retail and institutional investors in making investment decisions, in addition to paying attention to the company’s fundamental aspects, business prospects, valuation, and governance quality.
However, Dian stressed that there is no direct impact from bank issuers with HSC status on customers. This is because the daily operations of banks are strictly supervised.
“We need to convey that there is no direct impact from a bank issuer classified as HSC on customers, considering that daily bank operations are highly regulated and prudently supervised by the Financial Services Authority together with relevant authorities,” he said.
In the HSC list released by the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), there are three banking issuers. They are PT Bank Mega Tbk. (MEGA) at 95.68%, PT Bank Ina Perdana Tbk. (BINA) at 94.79%, and PT Allo Bank Indonesia Tbk. (BBHI) at 92.98%.
