Three Arrested in Bogor for Illegal Possession of Hard Drugs and Methamphetamine

Police have uncovered the abuse of illegal, unlicensed hard drugs and methamphetamine in the Gunung Putri area of Bogor, West Java. Three people were arrested in the case.

‘The Gunung Putri Police Criminal Investigation Unit successfully uncovered a case of narcotics abuse and the distribution of certain hard drugs in the Nagrak Village area,’ said Gunung Putri Police Chief Kompol Hillal Adi Imawan on Saturday (18/7/2026).

The arrests took place on Thursday (16/7). In the first operation, officers detained a man with the initials S, who is suspected of distributing hard drugs without a licence.

‘From the suspect, police seized evidence in the form of various types of hard drugs believed to be intended for illegal sale,’ he added.

Police then developed the case further. This led to the arrest of two other individuals, identified as M and H, who are suspected of involvement in methamphetamine abuse.

‘As a result of the operation, officers found and secured a packet of methamphetamine as evidence,’ he added.

In total, the evidence seized consisted of 1,188 pills of various hard drugs, along with a small packet of methamphetamine and Rp 575,000 in cash.

‘All suspects and evidence have been secured at the Gunung Putri Police Station and will be handed over to the Bogor Police Narcotics Unit for further investigation,’ he concluded.
