Three arrested for theft

JAKARTA (JP): Police have arrested three suspects, including
one university student, in connection with last week's pre-dawn
burglary at a warehouse in North Jakarta.

The burglary took place last Friday at PT Varuna Tirta
Prakasya warehouse at Tanjung Priok.

One other suspect is still at large, North Jakarta police
chief Lt. Col. Abubakar said yesterday.

The three suspects were apprehended at their respective homes,
which are located near the warehouse, about 10 hours after
stealing a radio an electric fan, a clock and a rice cooker.

Police also confiscated two motorcycles from the suspects.

The three suspects have been identified as David Walean, 20,
Deni, 30, and Rudi Purwana, 30.

David is a university student, while the other two are
unemployed.

Police said that during questioning the three confessed to
having stolen at least six vehicles from various places in the
