THR 2026 Press Conference: Government Urges Companies to Pay By No Later Than Seven Days Before Eid al-Fitr

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto (right), Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani (left), Labour Minister Yassierli (second from right) and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya (second from left) spoke at a press conference on the festive allowance (THR) at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs in Jakarta on Tuesday (3 March 2026). The government is preparing a budget of Rp55 trillion, up 10 percent from the previous year, to pay THR for around 10.5 million civil servants and other government employees, and is requesting private sector employers to pay THR in full without installments to workers no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr.
