TANGERANG - A total of 464 intercity interprovincial (AKAP) buses arrived at Poris Plawad Terminal in Tangerang City during the post-Eid return flow in 2026. The head of Poris Plawad Terminal, Alwien Athena Alwie, stated that this figure represents the cumulative arrivals from Sunday (22/3/2026) to Tuesday (24/3/2026). “In the last three days, thousands of passengers have arrived at Poris Plawad Terminal by boarding intercity interprovincial or AKAP buses,” Alwie said when contacted on Wednesday (25/3/2026). She noted that the arriving passengers are predominantly from Java and Sumatra, such as Central Java, West Java, Lampung, and up to Padang. Alwie estimated that the peak of the return flow at Poris Plawad Terminal will occur on 28 to 29 March 2026. “We predict the peak at the end of this weekend, with the number of arriving buses potentially reaching around 100 units per day,” she said. Alwie added that several factors are driving the high mobility of returnees this year, including the Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy, high aircraft ticket prices, and school holidays. Terminal authorities advise passengers to maintain their health during the journey and make use of the facilities available at the terminal.
