Thousands of orphans in Central Lombok receive 10 Muharram 1448 H assistance

Central Lombok (ANTARA) - Thousands of orphans in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province, received assistance during the Rahman Rahim Day event, marking the commemoration of 10 Muharram 1448 Hijriah.

“Hopefully this activity will be beneficial for the welfare of the community,” said Central Lombok Regent Lalu Pathul Bahri at the Rahman Rahim Day 2026 event at Bencingan Masmirah in Central Lombok on Thursday.

“The assistance provided is part of a charity programme collected from civil servants (ASN),” he said.

He stated that the Rahman Rahim Day activity is not only carried out by the local government, but also by various parties, such as Islamic boarding schools and the National Alms Agency (Baznas), as a form of concern for orphans in Central Lombok.

“This means the programme has had a positive impact on the concern of all parties for orphans in Central Lombok,” he said.

He noted that the number of orphans receiving assistance during this Rahman Rahim Day reached 7,000 children spread across 12 sub-districts in Central Lombok.

“Hopefully this activity can be beneficial in improving welfare and development in Central Lombok,” he said.

He expressed appreciation to the ASN and other parties who have supported the Rahman Rahim Day, which is a regular annual agenda.

“We are very grateful that many Islamic boarding schools are carrying out this activity. Concern for orphans is increasing day by day,” he said.

He invited the community to maintain security and comfort in supporting development in Central Lombok.

“We hope the community continues to enhance synergy in supporting the acceleration of development in Central Lombok,” he said.
