Thousands of Mudik Travellers Prepare to Depart, Pertamina's Mudik Bareng Programme Promotes Safe and Fuel-Efficient Journeys
PT Pertamina (Persero) is preparing to dispatch participants in the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme to various destinations across Java on 15 March 2026 from Jakarta.
This programme represents Pertamina’s commitment to supporting smooth public mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H whilst promoting safer, more efficient and fuel-economical journeys.
Through this free mudik (homecoming) programme, thousands of travellers will depart collectively by bus to 23 designated cities. In addition to providing travel comfort and safety, the programme is expected to help the public undertake mudik journeys more economically.
Muhammad Baron, Pertamina’s Vice President of Corporate Communication, stated that Mudik Bareng Pertamina not only offers convenience to the public but also delivers positive impacts on traveller safety when returning to their hometowns, compared to using motorcycles with excess loads, whilst supporting efficient energy use.
“By undertaking mudik collectively using mass transportation, journeys become more efficient, safe and comfortable, whilst helping conserve fuel consumption,” Baron said.
The initiative also supports government directives to conserve fuel amid dynamic global energy circumstances.
“Mudik journeys using shared vehicles can reduce the number of private vehicles on roads, thereby contributing to fuel consumption savings and helping reduce traffic congestion during the Eid mudik period,” Baron explained.
Beyond providing safe and comfortable transport facilities, Pertamina ensures all aspects of the Mudik Bareng Pertamina programme operate orderly and systematically. Participants will receive various supporting facilities to ensure smooth journeys home.
Mudik Bareng Pertamina forms part of the company’s commitment to delivering energy goodwill to the public, particularly during Ramadan and Eid periods. Through this initiative, Pertamina hopes the public can undertake mudik journeys more safely, comfortably and efficiently.
Pertamina continues ensuring national energy availability remains secure during the Ramadan and Eid period through the 2026 Ramadan and Eid Task Force, responsible for maintaining reliable energy supply and services for communities throughout Indonesia.
Mudik departures are scheduled for Sunday, 15 March 2026 from Keong Mas Plaza at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, heading to various cities including Tasikmalaya, Garut, Cirebon, Purwokerto, Banyumas, Kebumen, Wonosobo, Purworejo, Brebes and Tegal, as well as Pemalang, Cilacap, Pekalongan, Kendal, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surakarta, Wonogiri, Surabaya, Malang, Ngawi, Madiun and Banyuwangi.
“We ensure safety and comfort remain top priorities. Our entire fleet has undergone operational safety inspections to guarantee safe and smooth travel for participants,” Baron added.
