Jakarta (ANTARA) – Thousands of people from various parts of South Lampung filled the Regent’s Official Residence during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H celebration on Saturday (21/3). The massive attendance signifies a paradigm shift in the official residence of the regional head, now positioned as a “Shared House” for all layers of society.

South Lampung Regent Radityo Egi Pratama, who personally welcomed the residents, stressed that this year’s Halal Bihalal momentum is not merely a ceremonial event. Instead, it is an effort to eliminate barriers between bureaucracy and the people, turning the official residence into an open space for maintaining ties.

“This house belongs to the people. Today, we prove that there is no distance between leaders and the community. Residents from all 17 sub-districts can come and feel the warmth of Eid here,” said a representative from the South Lampung Regency Government Communication Team.

Regent Egi’s step aligns with instructions from President Prabowo Subianto, who urged public officials to hold Eid events modestly and prioritise closeness with the people. The enthusiasm of thousands of orderly queuing residents demonstrates the strong relationship between the leader and the South Lampung community.
