Thousands of Joint Personnel Deployed to Secure Multiple Protests in Jakarta Today

A number of joint personnel will be deployed to secure protest actions by various community elements at several points in Jakarta on Monday, 15 June 2026. The alliances participating in the protest include the PERISAI Alliance and Cipayung West Jakarta (PC PMII West Jakarta, GMNI West Jakarta, FMN, APWKS, AGRA, SPP, FAM UI, HMI Esa Unggul, BEM Trisakti).

The Head of Public Relations for the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Iptu Erlyn Sumantri, stated that his party would involve 5,955 joint personnel in securing the protest. "5,955 joint personnel (Regional Police, Resort Police, Sector Police ranks), serving other protests in the Central Jakarta area," Erlyn told reporters on Monday.

Erlyn further explained that the personnel would be stationed at Monas, the DPR/MPR RI Building, the Senatama Building (Jalan Kwitang Raya Senen), and in anticipation at the HI Roundabout. Meanwhile, Erlyn revealed that the personnel on duty would not be equipped with firearms. The personnel will serve in a humanistic manner.

In this regard, the police have also prepared a traffic engineering scheme. However, it remains situational, depending on conditions on the ground. "Situational traffic engineering," said Erlyn.

In delivering this protest action, the police appealed to the public participating in the action to express their opinions in accordance with applicable regulations, so that the activities of other members of the public are not disrupted.
