Thousands of Bottles of Illegal Alcohol, Modified Exhausts and Firecrackers Destroyed in Subang Ahead of Eid
Ahead of Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2026 and Eid al-Fitr celebrations, the Subang Police Department in West Java has destroyed thousands of confiscated items resulting from enforcement operations, including illegal alcohol, modified exhausts, and firecrackers.
The destruction of thousands of bottles of illegal alcohol, modified exhausts, and firecrackers is part of efforts to create safe and secure conditions ahead of the holiday period in Subang Regency.
The operation destroyed 5,000 bottles of illegal alcohol, 280 modified exhausts, and 5,000 firecrackers that resulted from enforcement actions by the Subang Police Department through various operations and law enforcement activities.
Police Chief of Subang AKBP Dony Eko Wicaksono emphasised that the destruction activity is not merely symbolic but represents a firm message that the state is present to maintain public order and security.
“This is evidence that the law is working and the Indonesian National Police will not remain silent against any violations that cause public concern,” said the Subang Police Chief on Wednesday (11 March).
The police chief stressed that the circulation of illegal alcohol is a major trigger for various criminal acts in society, ranging from violence and street fights to traffic accidents.
The police chief also highlighted the problem of modified exhausts that frequently cause excessive noise and disturb public comfort. According to him, the Subang Police Department is committed to continuing enforcement efforts to maintain order within the community.
The police chief warned that ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations, there is typically an increase in the circulation of explosive materials that pose potential risks to public safety.
