Thousands join Maulid Nabi procession in Denpasar's Kampung Islam Kepaon

Residents took part in the Ta’aruf Li Maulidur Rasul procession to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday 1448 Hijriah in Kampung Islam Kepaon, Denpasar, Bali, on Tuesday (25/8/2026). The procession, which was attended by around 2,000 participants, was lively with various traditional decorations and ornaments carried along the route. The procession began at around 07.00 WITA and formed part of the Maulid Nabi commemoration regularly held by the Kampung Islam Kepaon community. Besides being an expression of gratitude and love for the Prophet Muhammad, the event provided a space for residents of all ages to preserve tradition and strengthen togetherness amid the diversity of Balinese society.
