Thousands Gather at Monument Square for Free 2026 Homecoming Programme

Thousands of free homecoming programme participants gathered at the National Monument precinct in Jakarta on Tuesday (17 March) from 05:30 WIB onwards.

Monas served as the departure point for journeys to hometowns ahead of Eid celebrations. Participants were required to complete a registration process before boarding the buses.

The programme was organised by the Jakarta Provincial Government. The administration prepared a total of 709 buses serving 20 destination cities.

This year, the number of participants dispatched from Monas reached 30,774 people.
