Thousand Islands Authorities Launch Mobile Service to Facilitate Licensing for Residents
The Thousand Islands Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Unit (UPPMPintsp) has launched a mobile service to facilitate various licensing processes through the ‘Peduli Pulau Plus’ programme on Pulau Tidung, South Thousand Islands.
“The programme aims to bring administrative licensing and non-licensing services closer to the community, particularly for residents and local entrepreneurs, so they do not need to cross over to mainland Jakarta to access services,” said the Head of UPPMPTSP Thousand Islands, Wachid Wahyudi, in Jakarta on Thursday.
Wachid stated that Peduli Pulau Plus does not only focus on administrative services but also serves as a platform to explore and introduce the various potentials held by the Thousand Islands.
He added that this particular activity is not limited to managing licensing and non-licensing administration. His office will also explore local culinary offerings and introduce innovations existing within the UPPMPTSP Thousand Islands.
During this activity, UPPMPTSP is also collaborating with the Harbour Master and Port Authority Office (KSOP) to provide vessel measurement and physical condition inspection services. These services are expected to assist fishermen and maritime transport fleet owners in ensuring their vessels remain seaworthy while completing necessary sailing documents.
Meanwhile, the Head of Pulau Tidung, Saudin, noted that the presence of direct services in the archipelago provides convenience for the community in managing various administrative needs.
