This Tanker Ship Passes Through the Strait of Hormuz, Heading to Indonesia

More than 20 ships are reported to have successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz, one of which is said to be heading to Indonesia. The vessel in question is carrying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). According to a report from shipping analytics firm Kpler, these ships successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday (18/4/2026). Citing Reuters as quoted by detikFinance on Monday (20/4), this number represents the largest transit through the Strait of Hormuz since 1 March. In detail, there were five cargo ships from Iran carrying oil to metals. Next, there were three liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers heading to China and India. Then, the Panama-flagged tanker Crave, carrying LPG from the United Arab Emirates to Indonesia. In addition, two of the three tankers, Akti A and Athina, were loaded with refined products from Bahrain heading to Mozambique and Thailand. The Liberia-flagged tanker Navig8 Macallister was carrying 500,000 barrels of naphtha from the United Arab Emirates to Ulsan, South Korea. There was also a very large crude carrier (VLCC) Liberia-flagged tanker, FPMC C Lord, carrying around 2 million barrels of Saudi crude oil to Mailiao port, Taiwan. The Indai tanker, Desh Garima, was carrying around 780,000 barrels of Das crude oil from the United Arab Emirates to Sri Lanka. Next, the Ruby tanker carrying Qatari fertiliser outbound to the United Arab Emirates. Finally, the bulk carrier Merry M carrying petroleum coke from Saudi Arabia to Ravenna, Italy.
