This Leapmotor SUV Spotted Cruising Around Jakarta

JAKARTA — After being captured on camera traversing Jakarta streets wearing camouflage stickers, the identity of the mysterious electric SUV has finally been revealed.

Leapmotor Indonesia has officially confirmed that the vehicle cruising around the capital is the Leapmotor B10.

Earlier, the car was spotted by Kompas.com editors as it travelled along the Inner City Toll Road towards Semanggi.

Now, PT Indomobil National Distributor, the authorised distributor of the Leapmotor brand in Indonesia, has confirmed the presence of the vehicle through a campaign camouflage car Leapmotor B10 that has started touring several strategic points in Jakarta.

“The appearance of this camouflage car is part of Leapmotor Indonesia’s brand engagement activities in introducing the latest Leapmotor electric SUV to the public with a more interactive, modern approach, and close to the urban lifestyle of today,” read the official statement from PT Indomobil National Distributor, Thursday (21/5/2026).

The car features an artistic camouflage design that is claimed to reflect the Leapmotor B10’s character as a modern electric vehicle with futuristic technology.

In addition to being a promotional tool, the vehicle is also used for a community interactive campaign. Leapmotor Indonesia invites residents to find the camouflage car at various points in Jakarta and participate in a giveaway via a QR code affixed to the vehicle’s body.

“Each visitor who scans the QR code stands a chance to win dinner for two at a five-star hotel, with total prizes valued up to IDR 1.5 million,” the statement added.

The appearance of this model also forms part of Leapmotor’s commitment to supporting the development of the national electric vehicle ecosystem.

“The first appearance of the camouflage car Leapmotor B10 in Indonesia marks a step by Leapmotor to build excitement ahead of the official arrival of the latest electric SUV to the Indonesian market,” the company said in its official release.
