This is the List of Prabowo's Activities During His Visit to Japan and South Korea

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to undertake a series of intensive activities during his working visit to Japan and South Korea from 29 March to 2 April 2026.

In Japan, Prabowo will begin his visit by attending a state luncheon with Emperor Naruhito. Additionally, he is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

The Japanese government states that this visit represents an opportunity to strengthen the comprehensive and strategic partnership between the two countries. This trip also constitutes Prabowo’s first official visit to Japan since assuming the presidency.

Following his time in Japan, Prabowo will proceed to South Korea from 31 March to 2 April 2026. There, he is scheduled to meet with President Lee Jae Myung.

In those meetings, the two leaders will discuss various strategic cooperations, ranging from trade, investment, defence and security industries, to the development of artificial intelligence (AI). Additionally, issues such as infrastructure, shipbuilding, nuclear energy, and energy transition are included in the discussion agenda.

Beyond the economic and technological sectors, Prabowo and Lee will also discuss cultural cooperation as well as efforts to strengthen ties between the ASEAN region and South Korea.

At the global level, the two countries have scheduled discussions on international security issues, including the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in the Middle East region.
