The Jakarta Provincial Government will hold Hari Bebas Kendaraan Bermotor (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, on Sunday (10/5/2026). The CFD will take place from 05:30 WIB to 10:00 WIB as part of the proclamation of Jakarta’s 499th Anniversary (HUT). Acting Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency, Ujang Harmawan, stated that the CFD will be implemented in two segments of Jalan HR Rasuna Said, namely: “For the eastern side of Jalan HR Rasuna Said, HBKB applies from the intersection of Jalan Gembira to the intersection of Jalan Raya Casablanca. Meanwhile, on the western side, it applies from the intersection of Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio to the intersection of Jalan Setiabudi Utara Raya,” said Ujang in Jakarta on Thursday (7/5/2026). During the event, several roads around the Kuningan and Rasuna Said areas will be temporarily closed to motor vehicles. The Jakarta Provincial Government has also prepared traffic engineering and parking pockets to anticipate vehicle density around the event location.
