This is the Annual Tax Payment for Electric Motorcycles in Jakarta
JAKARTA – Incentives for electric vehicles in DKI Jakarta will continue until 2026. Not only for cars, owners of electric motorcycles also receive significant relief as the Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) component remains exempt. This policy is in line with the central government’s directive through the Circular Letter of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 900.1.13.1/3764/SJ, which encourages local governments to continue providing fiscal incentives for battery-based electric vehicles. With this exemption, the annual renewal cost for electric motorcycles in Jakarta becomes much lighter. However, vehicle owners still have the obligation to pay the Mandatory Traffic Accident Fund Contribution (SWDKLLJ). Thus, the total cost that must be incurred each year for electric motorcycles is only Rp 35,000, as there is no PKB levy. Meanwhile, for five-year renewals, the cost will be higher. This is because there is an additional Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) component regulated in Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016. In addition to being exempt from PKB, local governments also continue to provide exemptions on the Motor Vehicle Name Transfer Fee (BBNKB) to accelerate the adoption of low-emission vehicles.
