This Is the Alleged Case That Snared Pekalongan Regent
Jakarta — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has disclosed that the sting operation against Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq is linked to the procurement of goods and services. The KPK has detected indications of conditioning in outsourcing procurement.
“There are a number of procurements conducted in Pekalongan Regency government departments where the process is alleged to be arranged or conditioned so that certain vendors or companies can enter,” KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters on Wednesday, 4 March 2026.
The KPK says there are several goods and services procurements that are vulnerabilities for corruption in this case. The KPK suspects there are vendors already arranged to win these procurement projects.
“(There is suspected conditioning) so that certain vendors or companies can enter and win to deliver goods or services in the Pekalongan Regency Government. Including outsourced procurement, i.e., the procurement of, well, supporting personnel in the administration of the Pekalongan Regency Government, which could be in several departments,” Budi said.
