This Brand Enhances Technician Capabilities to Global Standards
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The ability of technicians to manage modern vehicles, which are equipped with diverse technologies and the latest features, presents a unique challenge in ensuring that vehicles can be handled accurately and safely.
Therefore, PT Cherary Sales Indonesia (CSI) has introduced the Chery Technician Skill Contest 2026, which tests the ability of technicians to handle internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles as well as electrified vehicles according to global standards.
“Stronger competence will support more optimal and efficient aftersales services, while providing peace of mind for consumers throughout their Chery vehicle ownership period,” said the Aftersales Director of the Chery Business Unit, Denny MT, in an official statement on Monday.
The testing material includes technical training, latest products, technical bulletins, pre-delivery inspections, periodic maintenance, and troubleshooting.
At the national stage, participants are also tested on occupational safety, vehicle diagnosis, technical measurement, material analysis, and inter-module data communication.
Electrification aspects are also receiving significant attention through testing related to high-voltage systems, battery management, electric motors, electronic devices, diagnosis, and safety procedures.
This demonstrates the increasingly diverse competencies required by technicians as vehicle technology continues to evolve.
The best national technicians will also have the opportunity to represent Indonesia in international competitions.
The event serves as a platform to test competence, exchange knowledge, and expand experience regarding electrical systems, electronics, diagnostic software, and safety standards for electrified vehicles.
